Ropana (रोपन) comes from the ancient Sanskrit language meaning “to heal oneself”.

Kristin Beach (ERYT)

From a small town located in northern Manitoba, I began my journey into yoga when my oldest was just a baby, which was around 18 years ago. Yoga became a beautiful way for me to connect deeply to the present; it allowed me to slow life down and find a sense of peace. As someone who struggles with anxiety, having my practice to turn to whenever I felt overwhelmed, was a blessing that came into my life. In those moments, I could focus on my breath and remind myself that everything in that moment would be okay. Through the practice of mindful breathing, fluid movement, and setting intentions, I found myself beginning to live yoga both on and off the mat. The more awake I became to this wondrous practice, I knew that this was something I wanted to share with everyone around me. I was honoured to be able to complete my 200-hour teacher training at Semperviva Yoga College, Vancouver in 2014. Since that time, I have furthered my education with Yin yoga training led by Bernie Clark, Yoga for Pain Relief with Leslee Watt, and additional training in Restorative yoga. I have completed my Sacred Spaces Training with Kirsty Ka, and I am now excited to embark on my journey into Bhakti yoga and the practice of chanting. Always wanting to learn, remaining a student forever.

I am deeply honoured to share that I am now a full Mesa Carrier, having been guided through my training with Wild Wellness under the mentorship of the beautiful Colleen Reid. Rooted in the traditions of Peruvian Shamanism, I am now offering Shamanic medicine from our home in Barnhartvale. This journey has been one of great learning, growth, and connection, and I am grateful to carry these sacred teachings with deep reverence.

Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along this path. I look forward to holding space for those who feel called to.
